    Another CZ question/problem 3x now

CZ wanted to know which barrel of mine was waaaaaaaaaaaaay off of the others POI. So I tested the gun this weekend. This will be the guns third trip back to the maker since I bought it.

1.) I started by centring the cross-hairs in the scope.
2.) I mounted the 22LR barrel and fired at a red dot at 10 yards
3.) The 22LR barrel shot 50 clicks right of center and 30 clicks low.
4.) The 22mag shot an additional 44 clicks right (94 total) and an additional 6 clicks low

So the 22mag barrel is 94 clicks off of center scope. Is this OK? Its burning up almost all my windage and the 22lr is burning up half my elevation. I think both 50 clicks and 94 clicks to get on center is stupid excessive. What do you guys think?

IIRC, the OP has a CZ 455 and they do not come with iron sights.

I own one but do not have any other barrels for it so I'm not much help, but I'm curious of the outcome.

The CZ455 Varmints and the Americans come without sights, but the rest of the 455's have sights. Like you, I am curious of the outcome.

That's right I forgot about the Lux model, which the dealer almost sent me accidentally vs the Varmint I ordered. Looking at the CZ website, there is the the Lux, the Training rifle, and the FS that do come with iron sights. IDR which 455 the OP has.

Thinking more about the OPs problem, you'd want to check the 2 barrels against each other with the scope. Otherwise if one of the barrels is "off", the front sight (if any) would make up for it, at least to some degree.

The barrels were tested against each other...see first post. 44 clicks apart and mag barrel is 94 clicks off center on a 100 click scope using ALL my windage.

Yes, I get it... I was trying to explain via thinking out loud to mr rabbit why you were using the scope vs just lining up the iron sights for each.

            - If one or both barrels are fitting in "off" some way, wouldn't the bore sight pass for each? ie, you're looking down the barrel so I would think that's where you're going to end up for each one. But if the problem is one or both of the barrels lines up "slanted" that would show up by comparing windage with the scope. Then again, I guess it would eliminate something like the barrel crown throwing the projectile off...

"If the barrels are fine - but extreme scope changes (rather than minor changes) are necessary to re-zero for same distance - then it points to the scope."

                What kind of scope/mounts?
scope verified level and mounted on true centerline axis?
10 yards is pretty close. Enough so that it will shoot "low" due to the bullet being at the beginning of the flight arc. Another factor may be droop inherent in a changeable barrel system. My savage mkII had some droop issues that I was able to correct by shimming the mount slightly.

I assume by "center scope" you are referring to optical center?
