How about a Rem 597 'mega thread'?

I'm getting a new base model because I got so many mags from the one I got $200 from buyback(made a few 'mistakes' learning it so more than happy to get $200. Probably get a second, one for iron sights and one for scope, just to practice with.

    Any good mag loaders?

Three main Fun Facts about Rem 597-

1)Was designed to feel/shoulder like typical centerfire bolt action hunting rifle (very comfy IMO).

2)Early all plastic mags misfeed and gave 597 bad rep(how Rem let it out of factory?), but new metal mags seem good as any semi-auto 22lr action.

3)Supposedly has the 'best action' of any 22lr rifle (most recent design).

    PS-no wood stocks offered.

I had one when they first came out and it was stolen along with some other stuff... I think it was my favorite .22lr rifle. I need to get a couple to put back in the safe..
