    10/22 Reciever Questions

    Howdy,

I bought a 10/22 about 10 years ago and changed the barrel and stock out. I have the parts still lying around. Can i get a receiver for a decent price or am i just better off buying a new 10/22 if i want another?

Most of the receivers out there are "custom". Unless you can finds used one. I'd say for 239$ just buy another.

I think it would be cheaper and easier to buy a new one. I looked into it recently, and I found a few that were decent prices, but after shipping, transfer fees, and such....it was cheaper to buy a new one...

I bought a 10/22 for $250 out the door at Bass Pro the day before Thanksgiving.

If you want to try to do it cheaper, might try this:

I have the same issue...That's why I was shopping around for a receiver.

Kidd made 10/22 type receiver is on sale right now for $152 + FFL transfer fees, not bad price for quality you get. http://www.coolguyguns.com/10-22-RECEIVERS_c_25.html

its easier (and cheaper) to just buy a new one than try to buy the parts to fit to a stock and barrel

Everything I have seen from Kidd has been top of the line quality.

                      Damn near unobtainium.

There are thousands of us with spare barrels and stocks because it is often cheaper to grab another 10/22 on sale than to find a receiver.
