Ruger American Rimfire Fail to Extract

Picked up my new Ruger American Rimefire a month ago. Just got back from angles range. I put about 350 rnds of Winchester 36 grains hollow point copper plated thru it. I had 12 Failure to extract problems out of 350. my question is could this be from bad ammo or is this a problem from the extractor and return to ruger for repair, I do have other ammo cci , fedral , Remington. I will clean and try again different ammo at some other time. or just return for repair. This is my first bolt action rimfire , it feels good, great trigger, good iron sights even with my old eyes I could hit the dongs at 100 yds consistently. Any help would be appreciated.

12 failures is a lot but it probably just needs a good scrubbing. Take a toothbrush and clean the bolt head with solvent. Also clean out the chamber real good and post results.

My Rug Am (different cal) had a little rust on the bolt so I made sure to clean it well before shooting it. Not sure if that is the problem though...
