    Vintage remington match master

I posted this in C&R forum but since it is a .22LR maybe I will get more info here. Was at Del Mar show today looking for a "cash n carry" rimfire. I was on a mission for a nice bolt action 22lr "Squirrel Gun". So I was focused on 22lr guns, saw a beater from $100 to target rifles in the thousands. I came home with this a 1951 Remington "match master" sporter with a weaver B4 scope and sling for $325 out the door. Overall I would say for its age 90%+ condition. They don't make rimfires like this anymore it is built better than most modern centerfires. Think I did okay? I believe the sporter variant is rare for the 513 rifles.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1387056898.978531.jpg

Not so long ago, that type of 22 rifle would go for maybe $150-175---so prices continue to raise---still very nice older rifle---I agree, they don't/won't make 'em like that no more. Remington Nylon 66s are going for $350+ for clean ones. Nice purchase---enjoy!

You did good! Maybe not "rare", but I haven't seen any clean ones like that for sale in a long time. Probably because those that have them, don't have any plans to unload them. Shame Remington doesn't make rifles like that anymore.

Looks great to me! A fair price is the value you perceive in the item. If you like it and it works for your needs, I would say you did great.

Nice, good price on that one. Yes, the 513S is much more uncommon than the 513T.

You seen what 513T rifles are going for? $400-500 is ballpark, and the 513S is much rarer.
