    New Winchester 52B

Yesterday I glommed a couple of .22 rimfires, including this 52B.

Only the auction pics for now. Better when it arrives

I also got a Remington 513T/Fecker scope combination at the same auction.

      Thanks.

Someone on another forum suggested that it might have a "Canjar trigger". Is that good?

Here is a bigger pic of the trigger

That Winchester 52 looks like the first smallbore target rifle that I owned back in 1974. I was able to use it to earn a Master classification in smallbore prone competitions. I eventually traded it in for an Anschutz, and wish I had kept it. They are still commonly used in smallbore competitions.

There is a lot of info on the internet on Winchester 52's. Last week, I watched a video on Winchester 52's done by MidwayUSA. Enjoy your rifle.

Very nice rifle. Enjoy shooting it.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

The best rifles I have been able to purchase were the 3 Winchester 52D rifles I got from them. They shoot beautifully and are great introductory rifles for taking with newbies. You should have a lot of fun with that 52B!!

Thanks, Sheldon...definitely looking forward to shooting the 52B.

I've been in contact with Ken Viani about one of his scope mounts.

You got a Vaver sight there! Get a fresh eyecup for your rear iris and try shooting it with the irons. You might find a new challenge.

                        Nice catch!

if i'm not mistaken, they were also used as military training rifles for the military shooting teams.

                          great find.

Bought a 52 in 1963 and got my Distinguished with it. Bought another in 1968 so I had one for iron and one for scope matches. Still have them. Tack-drivers!
