    Kids' rifles for adults...

I have a small collection of .22 "Boys' rifles" I enjoy shooting. An early Stevens Favorite (no pic), a Savage 1909...

    Remington Mod 24...

    CZ 452 Scout...

Win 62A (not really a kid's rifle but it was my 1st at 8 years old)...

And now waiting at the shop for me to pick up, a wood stocked Savage Rascal...

Sure was a lot easier to make excuses for buying them before my Son could shoulder a Garand.

The only thing with the Rascal is the rear sight does not offer much adjustment, too bad. The Rascal is ridiculously light though, unlike many other youth models they have a very light profile barrel, the whole things seems like a great kit gun once you get past the sight issues. If there were an easy way to inlet it for a mag conversion that would be awesome.

    I love .22s as well, both my kids have a rascal, a 62A, and a Marlin 795.

Old .22s are the best, everyone should have one, man, woman, and child.
If it was a snake, it would have bit me.

Love the Rascal too. My son is a deadeye with it. Great little gun.

Been lusting for a 62A for awhile now.

The rascals look great and I've been thinking of buying one. how much it set you back? I have a Winchester 74 in .22 short and a Remington 521 Junior Targetmaster. Both are supposed to be kids guns but they're bigger than a lot of modern adult marketed .22's!

Just recently jailed a Marlin XT

It's fun to shoot these things. And my daughter will like the Marlin as she picked it. I might also get the CZ soon.

Buds had the hardwood stock for $184 a few weeks ago when I ordered it. I see they've gone up to $194 now. They have the plastic ones for ~$160.

I'll probably add ~2" to the stock and keep it with my camping gear as a dead simple rifle my Wife, Son and I can all plink/hunt with. I have an air rifle we take camping but the Rascal seems like a nice gun to supplement it. With an assortment of CCI CB Longs, some bulk junk and Stingers it might even replace it.

A couple years ago my brother and I bought two Crickett rifles for his boys, and they are just plain fun to shoot - especially with the CB and quiet loads.
