    The Good Ol' Days...

I found this old receipt from The Crossroads of the West gunshow in August of last year. Apparently I had purchased two bricks of Blazer 22LR that day from the LAX booth..

For those of you that have just gotten into "the game," this is what it used to look like. And it was abundant! Why didn't I buy 20!?

    That is all.

That makes me wonder if the cashier made mistake a long time ago when I bought 2000 rounds for like $22.00 plus tax.

I have the original receipt for my Winchester model 69A bolt-action .22 rifle and 2 boxes of .22LR ammo (two 50-round boxes, not bricks). The rifle cost $24.95 NEW, and the .22LR ammo was 12-cents PER BOX. That was back in 1952, when the California State sales tax was only 1%! THOSE were the good ol' days!

Of course, those boxes of ammo are long gone, but I still have the rifle, and it still looks great and is still extremely accurate....after about a "bazillion" rounds going through the barrel! It was only $24.95 back then, but it is now "priceless"!

Holy smokes! Unfortunately those good ol' days I wasn't yet around for.. of course $25 was probably a substantial amount of dough back in those times! The only reason I say that is because the artwork at In-N-Out burger shows that burgers used to be like a nickel or something!
I bet that 69A is near and dear to your heart!

Now we measure the "Good Ol' Days" in months not years.
And, Blazers ( one of my favorite ammos) has become an endangered species.
Have not seen them in a long time (months)

Back in the early 90s were the good ol days for me:

                Colt King Cobra $350
                Colt Python $660
                Desert Eagle .44 $699
                1k rounds of factory 9mm $110
                1k rounds of factory .223 & 7.62x39mm $90ea

That's not all. Purchase as many guns at a time as you please...inventory was plenty with no shortage...$50 OTD out of state transfer including DROS with no tax...no hi-cap restriction

Just found a ammo recept from SGammo.com from Sep 2012.

$227 for 6300 rounds of Remington Golden Bullets 36gr shipped. Now those were the good 'Ol days.

                      Good Old Days

A commercial for an oldies radio station says it best:
1942. Wages were 45 cents an hour. War was everywhere. Ah, the good old days.
I can prove that most of us wouldn't want to live in any other era except now with only two words: AIR CONDITIONERS!

I remember $8 for the brick at Walmart.

Screw ammo prices. Bring back $1/gallon gas prices.
