If I spray painted my Remington blued factory barreled action and then later.....say years down the road........wanted to remove the Krylon and go back to nice shiny blue; will I have any problems?
Will the Krylon damage the bluing in any way......strip the finish etc?
Or does anyone know if it will just come off real easy with a solvent and maybe a toothbrush to get inside the lettering.....leaving a blued finish as perfect as it is now? This is a 33 year old .22 rimfire rifle.
The reason I ask is because I might save my original stock and use a slightly damaged used stock to do all the mods to.....pillar bedding, glass bedding, opening the channel, modifying to make an aftermarket trigger for another model fit etc etc etc. At the end of the day......rather than try to make the wood beautiful it seems it would be easier to just paint it with Krylon...maybe a desert tan deal. May as well do the barrel also and the scope. But should I ever want it in as new condition.....I'll have the original stock set aside and I can lose the scope and rings for the sale......but just wondering if the paint on the barrel/receiver will be a problem.
Thinking about doing the same to my .308.
Thanks.

Bummer!
Kinda perverted and sick too. I'm disgusted by it.....LOL. The only person who could pull that off and make it totally look cool was Jimi Hendrix during a guitar solo. Girls lapped it up I reckon. I'm kinda spending a lot of time on this huh?.
