    Savage mk2 fv-sr

Well I took my Savage mk2 fv-sr out to the range today for the first time. What a great little rifle, I am amazed!

I agree, they are good shooters, definitely a solid addition to your safe.

Just DROS'd one sight unseen yesterday, looking forward to shooting it and adding it to my .22lr collection

Yup, I would have to say that it is a fun rifle to shoot.

I bought a Savage Mk II FV a few weeks ago. First firearm I've ever owned and first I've shot since getting off active duty 30 odd years ago. Added a $40 scope and $20 bipod. Been to the range 5 times so far. I'm already shooting dime sized groups at 50 yds and 3-4" groups at 100 yds. I gave 200 yds a try but will need a bigger scope so I can see if I hit anything. LOL This rifle is capable of so much more than my skill level can produce, but I'm working on it!

Get your money back and find a dealer that has real customer service. Dennis at Olde West up here found three in 15 days.

This is when a spotting scope comes in handy and Shoot-N-C targets.

Check Gallery of Guns regularly and you'll find one. Several days ago got a large quantity of FV-SR's in and already sold out. I almost bought one but resisted. :-)

The bolt was nice and tight, and I liked the trigger. I didn't have the scope mounted correctly, which has been since fixed - I think. I'm taking it out next weekend to run some ammo through.

I'll be running Cci mini mags through mine tomorrow. Hopefully my scope is mounted right as we'll. guess I'll find out tomorrow.
