my vote both - one $25 background check

15-22 first, gsg mp5 clone for me - i got both but no h&K

i think h&k got all upset to see how many sales the GSG clone was getting so they put their own out. imho

I am not mistaken I believe it's "made" by Umarex in Arnsberg. Umarex actually owns Walther.

I found out yesterday when I was doing homework on a Walther PPK .22LR

I have a 15-22 with lots of rounds through it and I am very happy with it. Highly recommend.

For those looking for a 15-22 mag, I have seen some online lately. They are 10 rounders but long like a 30-rd mag version.

Good luck OP! You will more likely than not be happy with it. It is a perfect training partner to an AR 15 and comes from a reputable company that will back its products

15-22, own one, and love it. Have also shot a friend's Sig-522 and love that one, too. The biggest + I can see to the 522 is that it uses Black Dog mags, and these mags can be easier. to find than mags for the 15-22

definitely the 15-22. it functions just like a real ar, mag release, safety, bolt catch and break down.

The HK has a HEAVY trigger pull! Everytime I shot my friend's my trigger finger gets quite a workout!

Don't count out the Sig522 I think it is more accurate than the 15-22, and being about to get cheap mags is a huge plus.

15-22 suppressed SBR and a 200 round drum. Just say no to zinc.

If it doesn't splatter, shatter, burst or explode, it's not worth shooting.

I got a hk 416 22lr and I love it, with the stock sights its very accurate. I almost bought the s&w 22 but ended up with this think was $500 last year (30 round mags were $30 also

Sig 522 is an awesome rimfire rifle, very accurate. Don't leave out the M1 Carbine in 22 LR also

Love my 15-22. Have LOTS of rounds through it, high quality as well as the bulk cheap stuff, and never a misfire or FTF. It's pretty much replaced my 10/22 as my go-to ground squirrel gun on the ranch. You really can't go wrong with it.

15-22 no question. Its been out for a while and is proven. Mags are out there and relatively easy to get.

15-22 no doubt followed closely by the Sig 522.

Hard to make a decision when the only replies are from 15-22 owners.
I have an HK 416 and love it. If you want plastic get the 15-22. If you want metal, awesome looks and performance, then get the HK.
LOL. The SW was a close second choice, but after researching I went with the HK. Plus I LOVE the look of that rifle. And now that I've dressed it up, I REALLY love it.
                            Can't go wrong with either.

And the gun isn't made by Umarex. Its made IN Germany by Carl Walther. IMPORTED by Umarex.

The following was taken from an Arkansas Business Article, 11-29-12

Walther Arms Inc. said Thursday that its US operations will locate to Chaffee Crossing in Fort Smith, sharing a campus and business resources with Umarex USA, which will expand its manufacturing operations to include components of both airguns and firearms.
Umarex USA makes sporting and replica air guns. Its line of products includes paintball guns, pellet guns, air pistols and accessories. Umarex USA is owned by PW Group of Germany, which also owns firearms leader Walther Co. in Germany. Walther is 126 years old and makes firearms from .22-caliber to .40-caliber.

Notice how it says Umarex USA is owned by PW Group of Germany which also owns Walther. Umarex makes the airsoft stuff, Walther makes the real guns!

I own and love my 15-22, but the HK416 22lr is nice as well. Does the HK function like a true AR? Price comparison? Are mags easy to come by? Looks like theses are the types of things that could tip the scale one way or another.
