Hello Everyone:

And so, after thinking about it for couple days only, I headed today to Big 5 in

Modesto and burned 250 bucks on a nice little Marlin semi-auto .22 Model 795.

They were really busy selling shotguns and rifles. The clerk who helped me do

the DROS had told me that she already 5 transactions within the hour...PRETTY

BUSY I would say.

Anyways,

It is will be much appreciated any feedback and experience that fellow

calgunners have had with this type of rifle.

Great little rifle! Very accurate right out of the box and tons of fun to shoot.

Stock sights leave a little to be desired, at least for my old eyes. Tech sights are a popular upgrade, or throw a scope on it.

I enjoy my 795 a lot, although I don't know how much it'll get shot since I just got the Marlin XT-22.

Pick up as many mags as you can find, and I strongly suggest a Baby Uplula to load them with. 796 mags can be rough on the thumbs.

Nice! i just got one 2 days ago too! However i am not sure why you paid $250? They go for below $150 on non sales days. I bought mine from turners on a weekend deal for $119. Sorry to be a buzz kill on that but hey at least you got one now!

Price of the rifle was 200 bucks PLUS tax and DROS fees.

Honestly, I would rather pay a little extra money for what I am looking for and

own it instantly versus waiting for its availability at a cheaper price.

As a golden rule, if I cannot touch it, I won't buy it.
