    Tech-Sights for 10/22

I am in the beginning stages of converted my Ruger 10/22 with the M1 Conversion kit that I bought from Sarco. All that's really left is putting on some sights however I am not sure which ones to go with. The TSR100 is the most inexpensive and also the simplest but anything is more advanced than the basic tangent sights on my Ruger. Has anything done this conversion or purchased aftermarket sights from TS? If so, what has your experience been with them?

I liked the TSR100 Tech Sights but my kids wanted scopes. They're a bit tedious to put on but they are VERY accurate once sighted in.

I have tech sites for my Marlin 60. I got the TS 200.

Very good sight picture. But you're still shooting w/ a front post, so at 50 yards you'll only get 2-3 groups no matter how good you shoot.

Very easy install on Marlin. Not sure about Ruger.

They are also VERY well made.

      And shipped very fast.

Get the M1 carbine style sights.

You can modify the rear sight base to accept the late style fully adjustable carbine sight if you don't like the early style rear sight that comes in this set.

I haven't heard the best things about these Centerfire System sights. The TSR are preferable because they are more adjustable and even a little cheaper.

I really like my tech sights. The stock front sight is a bear to remove (in some cases, but some people get lucky) but not that bad, and you only have to do it once.

The only alternative I considered (actually, I bought both, since I have two 10/22s!) is the NoDak Spud NDS-26, which is very similar in concept but includes a real picatinny rail.

Oh that one is nice too, but I'm probably going to go with something that'll make my 10/22 look more "authentic" to the look of a M1.

I have the TSR100 on my 10/22. It is MUCH better than the crappy factory sights. Very easy to install, aside from drifting the stock front sight out. Mine was in there pretty good. I have not removed the rear flip sight though.

What kind of groups can you get at 50 yards with a Tech Site?

There are other factors that come into play here besides the sights themselves.
Ammo being used, heavy barrel or not, free float vs no. Free float etc..

Either way as other members have stated the tech sights are a huge improvement over the factory sights. You will not regret buying them and if you decide to put a bull barrel on your rifle they also sell a bull barrel adapter

I have the TSR200 model on my M1 conversion because I wanted the interchangeable peep inserts and the additional elevation adjustment. I have Kidd trigger parts a stock bolt and stock barrel and was shooting 10 round groups into golfball sized groups at 50 yards. I'm using the smallest peep sight insert and bulk ammo.

This is with a 10/22 with no modifications except for tech-sites.

                        Unsupported offhand at 25 yds.

I have the TSR100 sights on one of my 10/22s. Can't say enough good things about it. Once you get that sucker sighted in, you are good to go. I get groups with it comparable to what I can do with a red dot sight. If you don't want a scope, you cannot do much better than the TSR100 in my opinion. Very well made hardware, too.

Frankly, Ruger should make the TSR100 the standard sight for the 10/22, as the stock sights are the one thing about the rifle that I actively dislike.

Too bad I just found out that they'll be out of their office until the 25th... Dang it.
