Will Hypervelocity damage a Henry Goldenboy? I know you shouldn't shoot it in a semi auto, but how about lever action?

Ammo for Goldenboy

My guess would be no, but that is just a guess.
I would shoot off an E-mail to Henry and ask them what they think, they would know better than anyone else. -
I believe you will find that Hypervelocity ammo will be less accurate than many of the bulk High Velocity .22lr rounds. I have shot nearly all the different types of Hyper Vel ammo will disappointing accuracy beyond 50yds but only in bolt action rifles. I only shot the Hyper stuff as a test of performance, won't buy anymore.
My Henry Frontier shoots the most accurately with Standard Velocity ammo (1050-1080FPS). In order of accuracy: Eley Target, Wolf MT/SK Std+, Eley Sport. I have not tried CCI SV ammo so that may shoot good as well. Doesn't like Federal 711B. Nearly all High Vel ammo I have used shoots about the same in my Henry but I don't use High Vel very much due to lack of consistency.Comment
