    Breaking in Marlin 60

How long till my Marlin 60 breaks in? Right now it only shoots CCI standard velocity, and also Aguila Match Rifle without issues. Some ammo it won't eject, and others it won't feed.

Is this normal for a semi auto? Or did I get a lemon?

Id check the position of your ejector wire.
It should shoot pretty much every bulk right out of the box.
Neither of our 795 have ever had any FTF FTE.
But the 60 has a wire ejector unlike the 795's stamped metal one.
Apparently it can get out of place.

It should be one nickel high, and one nickel wide...see pics below

I don't want to start fooling around w/ the action. Why does it shoot some brands so well? And other not at all?

I am going to call Marlin tomorrow and ask them for a new rifle. Will I get re-DROS'd if they replace whole gun instead of repairing it?

.22 Autos tend to be finicky.

I'm fairly certain Marlin recommends high velocity, not standard. Standard and subsonics may not cycle semi-autos.

Well. Gun shoots CCI SV fine. But not Mini Mags!

            At the range today:

I shot about 4 mags of FEDERAL PREMIUM GOLD MEDAL AMMO, .22 LR, 40 GR., LRN.

            None would eject.

            Then 4 mags of:

REMINGTON BUCKET O' BULLETS, .22 LR, 1400 ROUNDS

            Ejected, but wouldn't load.

            Then 4 mags of:

Aguila Match Rifle Ammunition 22 Long Rifle 40 Grain Lead Round Nose

ALL PERFECT. JUST LIKE CCI SV.

            WTF?

Don't have an answer but am shocked. Marlin 60's are probably the most owned 22 and probably most reliable. I'd send it back without hesitation. Or at least call remlin and see what they say. There's no way it should be this problematic.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

I'm sure they will replace or fix it. Could putting a Boyd stock on it have caused this problem?

They will have you send it in for repair, they are not going to issue a new rifle.

I believe it does not like federal, FTE
Remington it will shoot, can't remember if it jams it

I guess I'll just calm down and shoot stuff it likes.

Yes they will ship it straight back to you.
If you call them they will most likely send you a return label so it will not cost you.

Most model 60's will eat any ammo. One of my favorite .22's
