    Which Bore Guide for 22lr?

The bore guide I have for my center fire rifles does not work for the rim fire rifles-- does anyone know of one that works?

Ant other cleaning tips to be aware of that are different from a enter fire?

got this off another site, seems like a good solution.

"Cheapest bore guide/muzzle protector in the world. The barrel of a ball point pen. The hole inside is tapered just like the outside. Cut back the small end till your cleaning rod just passes thru. Slide over the rod, hold against the muzzle as you clean the bore. Good for calibers up to the diameter of the pen. Mine has lasted over 40 years. Cheap is good. Goat "

What are you cleaning? I have a bore guide for a CZ452 and it fits my other bolt actions. If it is a 10/22 just drill a hole below the stock line and clean from breach end.

I have a Marlin 25n and Savage MKII.

The tubing is much larger than it needs to be and hits a part of the magazine assembly.

Sounds like the answer is just smaller tubing... though barrel of a ball point pen seems a tad on the small side. Was hoping there might be something made specifically for 22 rimfire...

Bore guides are specific to the rifle, for example I had Lucas make me a bore guide for my Anschutz, but for my 10/22s I just use a Dewey muzzle bore guide.

Look here to see if there is something for your rifle:

.17 HMR/HM2 covered here. I bought one for a Savage 93R17 BTVS and it works perfectly:
