If that's the case I'll go down there and check them out in greater detail and see fir myself who makes them.
They are back ordered but that doesn't mean that they aren't shipping them out. You just have to find a store that has them in stock or ordered them a little while ago so they know they are coming in. I've seen a few on shelves at big5 and LGSs. The local guy I go to even has one with a nice aftermarket pistol grip stock. Like was said, if its a 10/22 its a ruger.

There is only one manufacturer of 10/22s and that is Ruger.

There are some companies that make versions of it with custom parts but they are going to cost substantially more money.

Turner's has the 10/22 on sale (and in stock) right now for $219.99.

          No.
          Just no.
The Mossberg AR22 is just a Mossberg 702 Plinkster in a POS plastic airsoft like body.

And thats enough of that side tracking

My bad. That is a POS. Sorry OP, thans Chaos. Is the S&W M&P15-22 any better? In theory the colapsable stock and adjustable sights still makes sense to me though.

Bass Pro has 10/22's in stock regularly. I've always seen them there when I look.

Id buy a .22 upper setup fir my AR before i bought him a dedicated .22 AR lol i do want to get him the tapco tactical chassis for the 10/22 though. It will give him something to save his money for buying upgrades and it will give the adjustable stock option.

Yes its a much more realistic setup but it still not a real AR. For the money if I was going that route I would do a dedicated 22LR upper or a drop in bolt on a real AR15 lower.
But that is not what OP wants.

That Mossberg is not great from reviews I have read and seeing them at the range in action.
