    Ruger 77/22 bolt

I told a friend if help him find a bolt for his Ruger .22LR bolt gun. I'm guessing its a 77/22 since he got it when he was 12. Anyway, I've looked online about everywhere I could think of and haven't even turned up a part # let alone a lead. Story goes he took it to Texas on a trip and hasn't seen it since. A local shop told him it has to go to Ruger. Now I'm no expert and think a little "gunsmithing" would be required but a one of custom bolt seems a little odd. Does anyone have any info or experience with something like this? Thanks in advance

Find out exactly which model and serial number it is then call Ruger.
