Ruger 10/22 Sporter

I just picked up a 1966-1967 Ruger 10/22 Fingergroove- Hand Checkered Sporter. It came from a 92 year old gentleman and he told me they are fairly rare. Anybody know much about these. This one is in very good condition.

Please post some pics of that old beauty. They are worth some $ if it's in good condition. The stock alone is worth the price of a new rifle.

I have seen these go for $800.00 to $1,100.00 Very hard to find.
