Ruger 10/22 question.

I have an older 10/22 that I want to rebuild. I'm going to add a bull barrel etc.

I have seen on numerous .22 the knob you cock the weapon with is longer and round versus the stock one it comes with. Sorry I do not know the exact name of the part. Can someone tell me what its called so I can find where to buy it? Also any tips or recommendations are welcome.

Called an extended cocking handle or assembly. Kidd and others make them.

I have the Volksquarten extended bolt handle on my 10/22.

Thank you for the help gentleman. My 10/ 22 is old and worn. I am looking at puting a Green Mountain Barrel on it with a hougue stock in black. Found this pretty cheap. Also saw a trigger from Hornet called the Red Baron that looks nice. I cant spend boat loads but am trying to make it nice again.

I'm still reading up to see if there is any little parts I should replace.

It's called a charging handle, or bolt handle.

I have a Volquartsen one, but the Kidd ones are good too.
