Remington 597 repair? (Chula Vista)

I have a Remington 597 i took out today. I have never had any issues with until today. As i chambered the first round, the extractor fell off. Does anyone know where i can get it repaired here in San Diego area for cheap, or am i better off getting a new .22lr rifle. I paid $170 for it almost 5 years ago, i would not want to spend much to get it fixed.

At this link. items 19, 20, 21 on page two dependng which parts you need. Replacement should be easy to do.

Remington has been quite good at customer service on the once plagued 597.
They actually sent me a trigger group for mine rather than have it sent back to them. You shouldn't be out of pocket as a result of a faulty part.

it is very easy to replace the extractor. as easy as ruger 10/22. midwayusa carry parts for the rem 597. while you are at it, buy the volquartsen hammer. it made a huge difference in mine.
