Keep my Buckmark or buy a CZ Kadet kit?

    Fellow Calgunners,

I've owned my Buckmark for about 15 months and it was my first firearm purchase. Since the initial purchase, I've acquired a Hi-Power and more recently, a CZ 75 PCR.

I find myself shoot the Buckmark less and less, but would still like to have a 22LR firearm around. Lately, I've been contemplating selling the Buckmark for a CZ Kadet Kit.

It would make sense to consolidate the collection a bit by swapping a Buckmark for a Kadet kit. I don't particularly need a dedicated 22LR pistol, and it also makes sense to be able to train with the CZ and have the ability to shoot both 22LR and 9mm on the same platform.

Price-wise, it would be close to even so it wouldn't require any additional capital. Whether or not I can (or when I can) find a Kadet kit is a whole other question.

Logically, this makes sense. Is there something that I'm overlooking? Should I do it? Thoughts?

Being a CZ fan and owner, I'd say do it if you can find a Kadet Kit. I was lucky enough to be up and on call at 3am one night and find one on Grabagun for a cheapo price. Good luck in the hunt!

I'd keep the buckmark because I'm lazy and don't wanna have to switch back and forth but I'm lazy

Another reason for selling the Buckmark for the CZ adapter is because I'm lazy and don't want to lug an additional gun case to the range.

From what I've seen, the Kadet kit isn't nearly as accurate as the Buckmark.

You need 2 cases for 2 pistols

Keep the buckmark and buy the kit...and another case that will hold more than one gun.
              Sorry, not sorry.

I have the CZ kit on a 75B - AWESOME
I also have Buckmarks - AWESOME

If I could only have one - CZ kit on a 75B - The CZ is so awesome I actually made it a dedicated system and the 40 cal upper has been retired to the safe forever :-)

The CZ Kadet takes maybe 15 seconds to make the switch, it comes with target sights. Mine will never leave me.

I love love love my CZ Kadet II.
It even will fit the other 75 style guns, so I can use it on my 75B and on the Rami I am picking up.

                    Get the Kadet!

Keep the buckmark. That is one accurate gun. Buy a top rail piccatiny mount get yourself a cute little red dot site for it. You'll be able to hit 3 inch targets at 25 yards.

I have a Kadet Kit that I though was insanely expensive... but I bought it several years ago and I now realize, after checking current prices, that it was only mildly neurotic while today's kits are freaking batguano psychotic.

I will not trade or sell my Kadet adapter. Period.

But if I had a Buckmark, would I sell it to get a Kadet kit? Hmmm.. That's a tough one.

I do know that the CZ-75b 9mm with the Kadet kit makes a hell of a SHTF gun, especially if you would be toting a Ruger 10/22 Takedown in the pack.

I'm cheap and don't want to buy a bigger case that holds multiple pistols

Ideally, I'd keep the Buckmark AND buy a Kadet kit. Practically and financially speaking, that's not the most prudent decision.

Each has its pros and cons. I have at least until whenever Kadet kits show up in stock to make the decision, and from the looks of things I'll have plenty of time to think about it.
