    Boyd's stocks which one

I have two Savage heavy barrel rifles a 93R FV & a MK II heavy barrel FV I think it's time to swap out the fiber stocks which one the Rimfire Hunter or Rimfire Thumbhole? I know I need new trigger guards/floor plates but they are in stock.

I'm thinking of the Hunter on the 93R I have two of them and the other is SS with a Thumbhole factory stock on it and put a Thumbhole on the MK II.

The thumb hole looks a lot like the btvs stock.

I'm faced with the same decision.

I am putting a Marlin XT-22 in jail shortly and will be changing to a Boyd's stock.

Right now I think I'm leaning toward the Varmint Thumbhole.

Both my FV's shoot fine and are accurate but the comb on those stocks is way to low.

I went with the hunter on both mine and the gf's Marlin 795's. Not a fan of the thumb hole stocks.

Hi Tom, if you're happy with the synthetic stock, have you considered a kydex cheek riser? DIP products makes one that gets good reviews. I have both of our MKII's in boyd's classic laminates, and the comb height is still an issue for me. I'm toying with the idea to try one of DIP's risers.

BTW, had a chance to try out that eley sport? We were out yesterday, and had a chance to run some through. The results were very, very good. Best group of the day, 5 at 75 yds.

Haven't been out, been camping and traveling to AZ house hunting. Both my rifles shoot good and have risers on them, forget what company. I like wood is probably the real problem.
BTW nice group at 75 yards.

I really like the Hunter and the Tacticool. They are both nice stocks.

I'd say Tacticool or Hunter. Always liked both those as well.
