I Jailed an old Marlin Model 81 today.

And since I am usually a C&R Guy this is my first actual DROS lol. Aside from ammo purchases made inside the city limits of Sacramento. I learned that those are put into the system after the purchase at some point.

Anyway I am excited, just about 235 hours to go LOL.

Anyone have on of these? They look like a lot of fun. How many rounds of .22 short/ long/ and long rifle do they take?

I have had the Sears version of the 81 for 51 years, got it new at 9. Great shooting rifle, holds a ton of ammo, 17 LR if I remember correctly. You will like it, guaranteed. Still plenty of parts around if anything needs replacing. Depending on the amount of use and care it got, one thing to pay attention to is the shell lifter, as the hinge gets worn sloppy if not well cared for. Show us a pic when you get it.
