    10/22 Takedown Ammo Storage

Thanks for all the useful info I found here... Now it's my turn to share!
I found these kiddie plastic water bottles from the 99c store, it's perfect for use in storing 22lrs. Each bottle can hold exactly 555 rounds! And two bottles can fit in the empty space not used inside the ruger rifle case for the 10/22 takedown. (photos coming)

hmm...probably don't even need to go to the dollar store. We have stuff like that in a box in the garage...plus they have sponge bob, batman, spiderman, and angry birds logos on them.

I got the perfect idea for you. The paint ballers use a tube to store their paintballs and it's called a pod. Got one and it fits a box of 525 rounds perfectly in the bag compartment. Go to any paintball accessory store and pick one up. I bought one for about $3.00.

On that note, I got a 50 round pod that holds approx. 200 rounds and fits nicely in one of the backpack's pockets.

I bought one of these and it's great. A little more pricey than some of the other solutions provided here (which I will also use) but hey, I was using the shop42a.com system so CGF benefits. I used 4 sections for bulk ammo, 2 for subsonic and 4 for mags.

thumbs up for this thread! Lots of great ideas. Now I can replace the tactical ziplock bags I use for ammo in my takedown bag.

looks like i'll have to buy the 10/22 Takedown i've been wanting, so i can accommodate the storage containers i've got somewhere in my garage.

I've been using a few old extra-small rectangular tupperware containers with snap closures on two sides. Way better than stuffing the bulk boxes in the bag. I like the kids water bottle idea.

some hardware stores sell a tube container with a plastic/rubber cap on the end which has a slit in it. It is self closing, you just pinch the tube to open the end slit. NOT waterproof.

You can also use a Coffee mate creamer bottle

Some Great ideas on this thread....I planned on turning my Take Down bag into a mini survival truck bag. Even bought a MOLE bag to strap to the front for a first aid kit. Guess I need to get off my ***** and finish building the actual rifle. I have had a Bushnell TRS-25 and pictatiny mount for it for days....Thanks for the great ideas.
