    Ruger Customer Service

Long story short, I had some issues with my 10/22 Takedown. After taking it to a few monthly shoots, the gun had constant FTE issues. Taking the advice of the more senior members advice, I sent it back to Ruger.

I received it today. The paperwork shows adjustment know and extractor was replaced. When Ruger shipped it back, they shipped the rifle back inside of another Takedown backpack, complete with all the accessories! Even got an extra 10 round magazine.

However, the 10/22 still needs a trip to the range to see if the issues have been resolved. Thus I'll reserve judgement until I test fire it. But big kudos to Ruger!

Shipping both ways was on Ruger's dime. I just had to provide a box and packing materials to ship the rifle back to Ruger.

Ruger has GREAT customer service. When my TD went in I asked about buying a set of their Fire Sights and having them included in the box to avoid paying shipping. When rifle was returned the sights were installed and there was no charge for sight or installation. My SR22 pistol had to be replaced and they sent extra magazines and they paid for the required DROS. ALL shipping was on Ruger's dime in both cases.

Para-Ord has given me the same level of service with Armscorp/Rock Island close behind.

Kimber on the other hand has the WORST customer service I ever dealt with.

My experience with Ruger customer service has also been really great.
Good customer service is what really makes me consider their products when purchasing.

As someone who just purchased a new to me MkIII hunter, barring any malfunctions, is there any reason for me to experience their customer service? Anything I should be doing?

Happy shooting and hope that they've fixed everything for you.

It's nice to know that a company stands behind their product and recognize it's a pain to send your firearm in for repair/warrnty work and help you to make that process less of a burden.

My 10/22 takedown ran great out of the box. Sights were spot on from the factory. It eats everything I have tried on it so far. BUT it doesnt like butler creek hot lips or steel lips mags. I'm thankful I'm lucky that i didnt have any problems with it.
