    Proper shooting form -- standing

Can anyone point me to an online resource on improving accuracy/shooting form for shooting rim fire rifle while standing? I can shoot 1-2 inch groups with a 10/22 at 30 feet with an occasional flyer. But want to keep improving.

The best information will be in book form that you will have to purchase. If I find some links, I'll post them.

      Ways of the Rifle 2009

The 1st ed is 2002, i think, 2009 is updated.

That book will have all the info you need on position shooting/smallbore.

Gave me a few things to think about

Here is my best advice for standing if you are having issues with movement that always improved my standing rifle scores.
-If you have a sling, try using a hasty or loop sling for a better base. I have used a canteen on my hip as a resting point for my elbow as well.
-If you are flexible enough, reversing your forward hand under the rifle with it bent back towards your elbow with your palm up.
-Try and ease your sway into a figure eight crossing at your aim point without stressing your natural point of aim.
-If all else fails, and it is safe to do so where you are shooting, aim a few feet above the target and slowly bring the sights down on the target as you breathe out. You will have a good second or two before you start to sway again.
-Don't take the shot if it does not feel right.

Hopefully someone else can point you in a better direction, but figured I would toss out some quick pointers that helped me.

Sign up for an Appleseed shoot in your area. Great program, and even well seasoned shooters re-learn forgotten lessons.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

              Come to a Seed.
Bring a USGI Sling, you can get them on ebay for $12.
Make sure you can attach it to your rifle.
