      Nice. Who painted it?

I am honestly impressed by the lucid. The clarity of the glass is very good, as are all ofbthe reticles. Thebtehers on the turret and battery caps are also very nice. It sighted in very easy and is holding perfectly. Got about 400 rounds through it today.

Now waiting on the taccom reliability kit to hopefully solve the light strike problem I had today. Overall I am very happy with all of the components used.

No paint on it, just standard finishes. Must be the camera?

Very nice! Get the CMMG forward assist activator thing so your forward assist is usable. I have one in my CMMG upper and its very handy for when a round does not seat all the way.

Thanks for the info. I will probably get the forward assist, first thing is get it running reliably then finish the small things like FA and BHO and last round hold open also.

Looks great man, I have that upper too. Who makes that mag? Have you had any luck finding CMMG Evo mags?

The mags are black dog machine x-form mags, they seem to feed well and fit my l9wer nicely. I did find some CMMG mags but they are more than double the price! And would have to be limited to 10 rounds, as I did not see any 10 round cmmg mags.

Are the CMMG .22lr kits pretty reliable and jam-free ? I'm thinking of getting one and selling my SIG 522 which, reportedly will eat any ammo without jamming. (its new and unfired).

Mine initially had light primer strikes and had multiple failure to fire malfunctions. I ended up send the upper back to CMMG, the work order stated that they buzzed the chamber and cleaned up the bolt. It's been reliable since and the BHOA has been flawless with the Evolution mags i have.I also installed a TACCOM pressure plug for extra security against light strikes. It is highly recommended that a spring and buffer be used with the upper.

I was in the same situation as you were. I was going to sell off my SIG 522 once i had the AR-22 built. That was almost 2 years ago and i still have the 522. If your situation permits, i suggest keeping the 522. They are fun and reliable rifles, my son just dislikes it for the lack of a true last round bolt hold open.
