That's a good price for a 10/22 and a scope. A $60 dollar scope is a $60 dollar scope. You don't really understand the quality of a $60 scope unless take a look through a Trijicon Accupoint, Zeiss, Vortex, Nightforce, etc. Then you'll understand why people pay more money for the scope than the rifle they put it on. I have a couple of expensive scope, but most of mine are mid to lower priced Leupold and Nikon scope. And I think the scope on my 10/22 was also about 60 bucks!

I bought a couple Nikko Game Seekers from Turner's a few years ago when they had a truckload sale. I am very pleased with the optical quality, and overall function. See you in line tomorrow.

                  No kidding, I'm seriously tempted!

As for scopes, I just picked up a Nikon ProStaff 2-7x32 for my 10/22. Seems like a good balance of relatively compact size, while still big enough to deliver a nice bright picture and way better eye relief than your average "rim fire" scope, with a price that doesn't break the bank. Plus lifetime warranty, and quality Nikon glass! Fingers crossed...

Midway currently has the Weaver Classic V-Series 2-10x 38mm on sale for $160. Perfect scope for a 10/22!

Oh, now I wish I had not looked up that turner ad...Get there by 6, means I have to leave at 5, so I have to wake up at...

Try shooting the scope that comes with it for a while, it might be all you need depending on your intentions. That V-series is a very good option for the price.

Why don't you shoot your rifle first and see if the scope is good for you. A "better, more expensive" scope won't make you shoot any better. With that being said, I have a Nikon on my 10/22 only because it was a hand me down from another rifle I that I got a good deal on a Leupold scope. My other 10/22 has a $20 Walmart scope and it works just fine out to 100 yards.

If you do decide to replace it with a Nikon PROSTAFF (rimfire not included in this promo) there's a big promotion going on that will save you some $.

Hope some of you thinking about a new PROSTAFF can take advantage of this deal.

The Weaver V10 2-10x38 is a good scope, but it's a centerfire scope set to be parallax free at 100yds. The Weaver RV7 2.5-7x28 scope is a very good small rimfire scope (parallax free at 50yds) that will look good on a 10/22.

Thanks, Scholling! Got excited when I saw the price and didn't even bother to check if it was a rimfire scope. I DID purchase the RV7 over a year ago at your recommendation, though, and I've been very impressed by the quality of its optics. It's been nothing but an excellent all-around scope for my 10/22, and I thank you for steering me in the right direction. Now on to find a V16 or V24, haha!!
