Midway has had the ammo at $15.97 when it's available, probably 20 boxes per stocking, (always sold out when I get my e-mail notification). Bought 3 boxes on line so I could sight in rifle at $50.00 per box, Just about killed me. Have 10 boxes of 20gr. up in Montana waiting for me purchased for $18.45 a box with no tax. Waiting for the case of 25gr. to come in, same price. Montana has no problem with .22 Ammo either L/R or WMR. Paid $14.95 a box for Winchester HV 2100+ fps.
I would also like to have a bull barrel on my WSM along with another stock, which I'm will happen in the near future.

Just found out about this cardtridge and rifle today...been looking around online and it seems petty good for a rimfire. There's a pretty good video report on it on Varminter.com. He goes out and smashes a few squirrels with it. Pretty devastating.

$13.97 a box is about what .17HMR is. Does that sound right?

meh, 17 Mach4 is the way to go. 4000+ fps. Every see a squirrel vaporize and the red mist just get carried away with the wind like a little cloud? I have

17 Fireball is commercially loaded Mach 4.
Of coarse this is the "Rim fire forum.

The only way the cartridge is going to be a winner is if Winchester can crank out enough ammo to satisfy demand. They are currently not able to do this.

Well the ammo for the 17 WSM is now showing up in Orange Co. The going price is $18.95, beats the $50.00 a box,I was paying on the internet. So far it only been the 20gr. load. Now looking for the 25gr. to compare at my sight in. Only selling 2 boxes per customer now, I hope that loosens up in the near future. Now waiting to see who is going bring out a beefer stock and the bull barrel.
