It could be legit though. I know a lot of the AR guys like the 10/30 mags because they fit properly in magazine pouches on chest rigs, etc. If there wasn't a legit market for it S&W wouldn't bother making them.

No BFD, totally legal to do if done in the right order and very common to possess. To the OP, order rebuild kit. Insert mag block. Make mod permanent, and shoot away. Only in this order.

Best way to order 10 rd+ mags is to ship them to an out of state address and keep em there. And the OP needs sum spelling wurk.

Why is there so much misinformation and fear in this thread? It's legal to build/buy large sized mags that only hold ten rounds in CA. A magazine like that comes standard with EVERY S&W MP15-22. It is a 10/25 mag. And yes, I think the OP is currently being banned for being a troll.

Anyways, im not trying to do anything illegal. Just simply take a 25rd mag and permanently modify it into a CA legal 10 rounder. I have actually found a good tutorial on Youtube on installing a wooden dowel with epoxy and what not so ill try that. The hard part now is just getting a dealer to disassemble a mag for me.

It is perfectly legal to order rebuild kits, and block them to 10 rounds or less before assembling.

I did a quick search, and came up with the following mags. They are all from exile machine, so if you order from a CA address then they will disassemble them for you before shipping. It's that simple.
