    M&P15-22 Cali model $$$ ?

I have an open DROS at Riflegear.
I want to add on a m&p15-22. Riflegear sells 2 models. Compliant (with 25 rounds mag) for $439 and standard Cali model (10rounds) for $499

Riflegear says I have to buy Cali $499 model. I thought in .22LR, features don't matter. Why can't I buy the standard $439 model without magazine or with a 10 rounds mag ?

    Thanks

Where can I find one for cheap in la area ?

I shot a MP15-22 at Oak Tree and it felt cheap and I didn't like it. If you like it then go for it. I really like my dpms .22 upper, feels solid. Just my .02 though.
Make a drive and get this..

Not sure why the price difference. I paid $450 for my CA-compliant (10 round mag) version with the threaded barrel.

I got a used one off the forum for $400, it's definitely not cheap. It is a good looking rifle, I prefer it over the fake Colt M4 Ops, the m&p functions very similar to a full sized AR. I spent an other $150, and Magpul'd it, and have a Primary Arms Aimpoint inspired Red Dot.

My question is why would dealer not sell me a non-ca model when it doesn't matter in Cali for a .22 ? Why can't I buy one without the 25 rounds mag ?

Riflegear is a good dealer, just wondering if there is something I don't know about.
