    Midway finally ships 22lr

I placed this order on 08-04-12 and it shipped yesterday.
This was part of an order with other items that was out of stock at the time. A couple months back I received a couple 50 round boxes of specialty 22lr that I was charged $15 for shipping. These were on back order as well. I called customer service and got a refund for half the shipping. Looks like I'll call again.
Bottom line is--one order placed for around $150. Three different shipping charges like I placed three different orders.
I know this has been discussed here before but should be addressed again for all the new guys, especially if back orders are starting to ship.
I understand Midway can't hold on to all the items and ship all at once, that would be a logistic nightmare. I was told the last time I griped about the double shipping, that the issue was a programming problem waiting to be fixed. I guess they are still working on it. ;-)

I love midwayusa, but I've had that happen also and it's very frustrating. A $150 order quickly(slowly) morphs into a $200 order.

I basically just never back order stuff.

As a side note, I placed an order for 1000 rd of 22LR (Win m22) from Cabeles in May. They arrived this week. Maybe the log jam on ammo supply is starting to break. BTW, Cabeles shipping cost was reasonable. 1000 rds with shipping was
      ~ $58 total.

I ordered three bricks (1500 rds) of Aguila .22 from Midway last week and shipping was $19.00. I usually try to add other stuff to the order to spread the shipping cost out.

          That's pretty funny---shipping nazi.
Lets think this through. I placed my original order almost a year ago. Are you saying Midway should have somehow held all my items until the entire order was filled? If I was asked, I would have not accepted those terms.
On the other hand, keying in some sort of code to discount shipping on the back orders seems like a no brainer. Most wont call and complain, I'm not most.

I had a bullet mold and mold handle on backorder for months. The handles came into stock and Midway sent me an email saying "Hey, press this button to "release" the item from your backorder and have it shipped!" OK, so I press the button and they send me (with shipping cost) the handle. Then ... the handle is still on my backordered items. Eventually they shipped me the mold....and the handle. Yes, I had to pay for both.

I read an interesting article on one of the hunting web sites and they advised that the ammo has picked up since they got an increase in the wholesale price of around 15 to 20%.

You are patient. I would have given up on that ammo order a long time ago.

Same happened to me awhile back. I called and asked why they shipped me a magazine UPS when they could have thrown it in a USPS 5 buck box. They said since the original order was UPS the system sent the in stock item UPS. They gave me a 10 buck credit.

Ditto on the M22's from Cabela's .. about $58 shipped. I'm not fond of bulk packed ammo, but the M22's were designed to work flawlessly in the S&W M&P 15-22 platform, so when they pop up .. it's a no-brainer .. 3 put back and one on the truck.

FYI, I racked out a box .. was 3 rounds over 1K .. one was actually two-piece construction .. tink factor was nominal, but then again .. it Is bulk. Not only does Cabela's Not use shipping as a profit center as does Midway, but their packaging is second only to Freedom M .. luv that sticky bubble wrap stuff.

As to the Obammo Brass Drought .. hope you are right. 4 months ago real NATO M855 (not the XM855) was 80 cents per round .. today found for 49 cents per round. Still .. when you pull up 22LR on gunbot .. it's the "Ya gotta be kidding" reaction

I got the same deal about a month ago from Midway .. 3 bricks of Aguila .. all sub-sonic .. shipping was $21.62 .. a couple bucks more than just one brick. $19.56 to ship just one brick is totally ridiculous. Just keep some mags in your cart so if one brick is all you can get, at least reduce the shipping penalty .. cost per round somewhat. Midway now has stock in the 15-22 mags, http://www.midwayusa.com/product/685791 and the 10 round AR mags http://www.midwayusa.com/product/988459 .. Happy Hunting
