gun noob with a question about high capacity magazines

ok im fairly new to firearms and just recently bought a marlin 22. ... i saw on a website a 25 rd. stick magazine for my 22. and was wondering if someone could tell me what would happen if i ordered this to my house, in california , because im sure california law has a 10 rd. only limit on magazine capacity?

You would be in violation of State law if you purchased a 25rd magazine. Read Merc's link for more information on magazine restrictions.

Most vendors online also wouldn't sell you that magazine if you live in California.
