Hyper velocity ammo in CMMG .22 lr upper?

I was wondering if it is okay to shoot hyper velocity .22 lr ammo in a CMMG .22 lr upper, such as Aguila Super Max, CCI Stingers, or Remington Yellowjacket

    Thanks

I have shot all those rounds in several of my bolt action rifles and pistols. I don't shoot it too often in the pistols as the increased power beats on the bolt buffer. I do shoot it regularly in my revolver.

I would suggest the best route to go is to contact the manufacturer of your firearm. I contacted Ruger about shooting hyper-velocity ammo in their SR22 pistol and they said not to shoot it, high velocity or standard velocity only.

You can shoot whatever. If it feeds is what's going to be the factor.

My cmmg upper eats cheap federal bulk all day flawless. Yet the equivalent to that, Remington golden bullets which is very similar doesn't feed as great.

Aguila Super Maximum ammo has 2/3 the muzzle energy of .22 magnum ammo and 50% more energy than high velocity .22lr ammo. The question that you have to ask yourself is, "Is my rifle or pistol built for that kind of energy?"

If not then you risk damaging your firearm. Why be naive, ask the manufacturer if your firearm can take that kind of energy level. If you don't want to do that then shoot it at your own risk. Hope nothing breaks!!

Should be fine... I've done it before and i've never heard of an issue.
