Just put a Sig 1911-22 in jail

Just put one in jail yesterday for my daughter to shoot. She's been practicing dryfiring for 2 months before I brought her to the range. So its now been 3 weeks of shooting about 75 to 100 rounds every week. She's been using a ruger single six at the range to get her shooting right but she dry fires at home with my glock 19. She can and has shot the g19 about 20 rounds but the recoil is a bit much. So after searching she said sig felt the best in her hands.

Is there anything I should do or know about before it gets loose?

The only difference between the SIG 1911-22 and the GSG 1911-22 is the markings and the cost.

If you are looking for extra magazines, get the ATI/GSG 1911-22 magazines. They are about $10 cheaper because the magazines do not say SIG on them.

Was always intrigued by this gun. But I sure hope they are more reliable than the Sig Mosquitos-- they're horrible!

          Haha. Funny how that works.

My experience with the mosquito is horrible. It was picky with ammo and had a hand a hand full of failures for the first 200 rounds. So a friend of mine got rid of it right away.

The one I hear a lot about the 1911-22 is the guide rod breaking which is an easy replacement.

Yeah, they should seriously discontinue that. Recently, I saw this guy shooting one as well at Angeles Shooting Range... it kept jamming, etc. and he would constantly take it down and spray lube in it. Felt bad for him...

I have a Mosquito and I dont have any problems with mine. The only thing I did was change out the spring, there was one supplied in the case. I can even shoot golden bullets without problems.

They must have produced a good bunch and a really bad bunch. Theres a whole bunch of clips on youtube of people who either really like or really hate them. They either have no problems at all or just have endless problems. I do know someone that loves his too but another person I know hated it because of too many issues.

I have a mosquito & it's been pretty solid. I notice it didn't like the federal bulk ammo, but my golden bullets are its favorite for sure. You just gotta be picky on finding that right bullet I guess. My wife's been happy with the mosquito for sure.
