    M&P 15-22, MOE worth the extra $$?

I did a search but didn't find anything listing what the difference is between the MOE model and the base CA model.

Is it all the furniture? Stock, grip, what?

Are the sights different? Folding vs. fixed?

Is it worth the extra money or do most of you guys end up changing things out anyway?

    Thanks in advance.

From what I understand the stock, grip, sights and the barrel (threaded vs. non?) are different in the MOE version of the rifle.

If that sort of thing is important then I would say it's worth it anyway if you were going to throw Magpul stuff on the gun IMHO.

The rifle has a flat top rail instead of carry handle type sights, Magpul BUIS flip up sights, grip, collapsible buttstock, and a flash hider. MOE stands for Magpul Original Equipment, that's why it costs moe. I like mine.

I have a MOE 15-22. Great shooter. I think it was around $460, worth every cent.

the higher cost is for the extra MagPull parts - very much worth the extra cash for better flip up sights alone BUT you also get a better stock and pistol grip PLUS a threaded B. w/muzzle break

excellent trainer for the AR without the stupid bullet button and when Im in a free state I can use those 25 rounders

out the door price with tax DROS etc was about 550 for me WAY WORTH IT

worth it if your going to that route...

buy some ammo and RDS and be done with it..

            if not ..

like I 'm finding out because she wanted something "basic" ....

you can't find Magpul FDE front gen 2 sight {you can PTS, airsoft and made in china and a few gen 1} now add the FDE grip, mags,MVG and rail guards

            add in searching and shipping

you'll kick yourself for not buying the MOE

            insert butt kicking
