    10/22 Light Primer Strikes

What needs to be replaced? The gun is my friends dad's and it's 30+ years old. It was cleaned and lubricated prior to shooting.
    -Thanks
EDIT: seems it either needs a new firing pin or a new hammer spring

    Was the bolt compleatly dissasembled.

If it was working before it could just be crud,
    dried oil .

Also giving the trigger group a good scrub down.

    WD-40.

    Follwed with a good lube.

      +1 above,
WD40 or Penetrating oil might loosen it up,
just dont get any on ammo.
      other thoughts
maybe too many dry fires on the firing pin?
Maybe firing pin spring was compressed for 30 years?

I picked up a 1971 10/22. Cleaned it really well and still 2 to 3 ftf every mag with many different mag brands of ammo. Firing pin looked good. I checked the headspace and it was off. Cut it to .045 and not one ftf since. A firing pin probably would have fixed it, but access to a lathe was easier.
