I finally got a chance to take all three Grandkids out shooting last week. The oldest in 9, and he has been shooting for 5 years now. My Granddaughter is 7, and she has been shooting since last year.
My youngest Grandson is 5, and this was his first time. After showing him how to load and work the rifle, he was doing it on his own after about three or for times. His accuracy needs some improvement, but that will come. I was mainly concerned with the safety and mechanics of his efforts. He is hooked.
The older two hit what they aim at. I couldn't keep clay pigeons out there long enough. I have some targets that have pictures of flys on them, so they can "shoot the wings off a fly" and they enjoy those.
The rifles are all Crickett single shots, and two have Crickett scopes on them. The other has iron sights, but will have an optic soon.
The pictures are from my phone, so the quality isn't great. You can't see the spinning target or the rack that holds the clay pigeons. They really love shooting the zombie head too.
They went thru about 350 rounds on this trip. Not bad for a single shot rifle.
