Threaded Barrel on Ruger 10-22 CA Legal?

I was working on a few 10-22 builds and had planned to put a threaded barrel with a muzzle brake on one build. I tried to order the barrel and the seller said that they could not ship that item to CA because it is threaded. Is the threaded barrel on a rim fire semi auto rifle CA legal (specifically for the 10-22)? Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Threaded barrels are only illegal if installed on a semi-auto handgun.
A threaded barrel on a 10/22 rifle is 100% legal.

Buy off ebay, or use the service and have yours threaded. It's legal.

Thanks guys. I called my FFL and he was unsure and gave me the # to the DOJ ((916) 227-7527 for anyone who needs it). I called them and there is a lengthy announcement on their VM and then they ask the caller to leave a message. That was two days ago...
I ended up buying from another seller. I had to settle for a different color on the barrel because they (threaded Tactical Solutions X-Ring barrel) are SO hard to find right now. It should still make for a sweet build.

Just a quick update:
On 7/5/13 I did get a call back from a guy named Michael at the DOJ. He said that there was no problem putting a threaded barrel on a rim fire rifle. I told him that it was for a Ruger 10-22 and he said that it was legal.
