Ruger 10/22 TakeDown Rifle - Scope Suggestions?

I purchased the rifle last week.

Any Ruger 10/22 TakeDown owners here?

    Which scope do you suggest?

    I'll be shooting 50-100 yards.

I'm looking for a compact scope...as I'll mount scope and store it away in the Ruger pack. I don't want the scope to interfere with the Ruger pack zipping up.

    Thanks in advance.

I think most people are using the bug buster as the leave on option. I went with a Mueller and just use QD mounts. Works great.

Thank you both. Do you have a link to this Bug Buster?

If you want to fit the mounted scope in the bag then you need a 10-1/8" or shorter scope. I personally prefer using a top notch scope and the good ones that are short enough are the 10.1" long Leopold VX-1 2-7x28 rimfire, or the 9.2" long Leopold FX-1 4x28 rimfire. You might be able to squeeze in a 10.25" long Weaver RV4 4x28 rimfire but it will be close.

Leupold FX 1-4x28 matte finish on QD rings IMO is the perfect glass to match your rifle. 4x is all the power you'll need.

I got the UTG bugbuster on mine and it fits in the bag.

if you go this route, you will also need the utg 10/22 picatinny scope rail as the stock weaver rail didn't have the right spacing for the scope
