tell me about a Rossi 62sa

    Hello to all...

thinking about buying one from my LGS , Rossi 62SA , asking $350.00..

nice little pump action , in 98+% , looks very clean , bluing is great and the wood looks real nice , no dings dents in the metal or wood , no rust that I could see anywhere , pre safety , dealer said it sat in a closet after being fired a few times (taken with a grain of salt on that one).

barrel states...short ,long, long rifle...I remember shooting something like this back in the old days on the boardwalk (ya I'm that old) .

what do you guys/gals think of them.......buy it...or not ?

Had one.Lot of fun.Fires as fast as you can pump it.Good plinker, not going to win any accuracy contests.

If you buy it,buy a speed loader for it.Makes it even more fun.Think $350 might be a little high.$300 would be my offer.

I have a 62 SAC. The breach face is made from a seperate round piece it is installed in the slide and then a channel is cut in it for the cartridge rim. It leaves two little "ears" on the side of this round plug. They can move into the area for the cartridge rim. Open the action and look down at the breach if it is smooth and even then it is ok. It can be fixed with a file.
Lots of fun to plink with.
