Does anyone know where I might find a 1/10 twist 5.56 barrel?

Try different ammo my 1 in 9 del-ton shoots better groups with some ammo than others with my conversion. With the right 40 grain ammo I get groups from around 2 to 3 inches at 50 yards. Is it a tack driver no but it is good enough for clays and cans at 40 or 50 yards.Comment

Possibly Olympic Arms, but you are now creating a crappy rifle. Both .223 and .22lr will be only moderately accurate past 100 yards with common ammo. 55gr 223 or even 5.56mm needs 1/9 at the most, while 1/8 is best. Original M16A1s had 1/11, 1/12 only because they thought the round was like the .22. They quickly found out that was a huge mistake. For .22lr anything less than 1/15 is questionable and 1/10 would be at the far edge of reasonable for accuracy.
Don't waste time and money trying to re-invent the wheel. Get a good .223/5.56mm upper and a good .22lr upper. Or just put up with 2-6 inch groups when firing the .22lr conversion.Comment

The Olympic Arms stainless ultra match is a 1:10 twist barrel, but it will cost you over $300 just for the barrel alone. Just buy a dedicated upper. Someone was selling a CMMG on Calguns for IIRC $350 a week ago. If I wasn't broke, I would have bought it even though I have a dedicated upper I bought from UXO a while back.NRA Life Member

Or if you want to see real accuracy use a Taccom... :P
I've only shot my TacSol once now (tried a dozen different kinds of ammo)... I determined it wasn't as accurate as my Taccom... It's been collecting dust for awhile now.
Thats not to say my TacSol sucks, its groups are just second to my Taccom.Originally posted by BannedinBritainThe only dumb question is the one you don't ask...and get arrested for later.Comment

No, it couldn't. You can see that it has a different set of caps than the bushnell red dot, and other than NV(and PA doesn't make any NV that I"m aware of, let alone something that small) it can't really be anything else.Comment

Primary Arms has their own line which is extensively tested before release.
Marshall, the owner, is one stand up guy. He doesn't try to bull**** anybody. He will tell you these products are not meant for war or L.E. but I can tell you I have yet to have a PA product go down.

I would HIGHLY recommend building or buying a dedicated .22 lr upper with a real .22 lr barrel, your accuracy is going to be much better and your just going to have more fun.Comment
