Uberti Silver Boy - thoughts? Comments? Reviews?

My apologies to the OP of the thread on the Henry Golden Boy, but his thread reminded me of the Uberti Silver Boy that was hanging on the wall of my local LGS. Can anyone share their experiences or thoughts regarding this rifle? Just as beautiful as the Golden Boy; but more importantly, it felt extremely well balanced in my hands, with a sight radius that immediately comes to bear. However, I'm also worried as to how easily that silver finish will scratch, considering that the price is already north of $550.

I saw one in Oaktree gun club for over $600.Looks nice. But I rather get the golden boy. I myself have the H001. For $350 you can't beat the price

      Hey skyblue,

No worries on the thread title, btw - FWIW, at the same LGS where I saw the Golden Boy, they had a Silver Boy next to it. I handled it as well, but for whatever reason, the Golden Boy just *felt* better. I don't know if it was the weight or balance, or perhaps even the comb drop (I understand the Golden Boys have a pretty pronounced stock drop compared to other rifles), but while I was like "Ooooh!" when handling the GB, the Silver Boy was kind of a "meh." :/

      YMMV.

That's a good looking rifle, but for me a bit pricey for a plinker reason I like my Henry.
