    Ruger 10/22 Conversion California legal?

I was wondering if you can do this conversion in California legally.
    Airsoft p90 and fake sliencer.

    or this
    Airsoft AUG.

As long as the barrel length is 16" or greater and the overall length 26" or greater, then it would be CA legal under current CA laws.

Alright thanks! Wasn't sure to what extent you can mod a .22 rifle.

What if you put a fake suppressor on it? Like a piece of metal tube that went over the barrel like a jacket or sleeve and the end of the metal tube was the end of the barrel.
lol I know ridiculous but I'm curious.

Thank you for the replies on this random post =]

I'm the one that came up with that concept I think around 2007. You may need to add a perm. flash hider to get it over 26", and they are cheap on Ebay.

I film guns in slow motion.

There is a member in the rimfire forums who has made dozens of firearms using cheap rifles and airsoft frames. And I do mean dozens of firearms.

Yes they're legal. I talked to a California DOJ agent and a Supervisor of Firearms at DOJ both said nothing is wrong with it.
They both said to make sure they're not class 3 / title II and to follow CA state laws (10 rounds, 26 OAL, 16 barrel length)

No full auto, no suppressor, no short barrel rifle.

I've done over 30 airsoft conversions using various .22's

Really love your work. After building 4 AR-15s for my kids I wanted to have a little fun on a smaller scale.
                    A couple of questions:
I know you used a Marlin 60 for a TAR-21 in the past, have you been able to fit the tube fed Marlin 60 in other builds like the P90, Aug, or FS2000?

If not which receivers are the best fit for each of the four stocks (P90, Aug, TAR-21, FS2000)?

What brands are best for each build?

I am also interested in your build process for the TAR-21 and teh FS2000 since they don't split in half?

                    Thanks

                      thanks

the marlin 60 can fit in the P90, AUG, FS2000, FAMAS, L85

i normally avoid buying these stocks new for $200+. i try to get them between $50-$150 preferrably broken. you can always buy the better brand but you will be paying over $200-$300 for better plastic.

no build videos yet for the TAR21 and FS2000. been busy doing other builds

FS2000 splits in half. i believe you can do the TAR21 but i didnt want to crack anything trying to split it

Cool. I am picking up a used G&G FN2000 on Monday and ordered a Well P90 from Amazon. Now I just need to find a couple of cheap Marlins.

Picked up my G&G FN2000 on Monday off craigslist. Jailed a Marlin 60 tonight. I will start cutting somewhere around 4th of July.
