GSG 1911 and guide rod question

Does anyone know if the current production of GSG 1911 come with a steel guide rod, or is it still the one that is prone to breaking?

I don't think so, but I took out my CW upgrade guide rod and installed the one that came with it. I have fewer ftf & ftf with the stock one with the bulk ammo I run. I did e-mail the company when I got my gsg ( about 6 Months ago ) and they told me I shouldn't have any trouble with the guide rod that came with my gun.

Yes, the newest GSG 1911 22 has a steel guide rod. I'm not sure if they prone to breaking like the older ones did...
This guy makes some really good aftermarket upgrades for the GSG/Sig 1911 22...
