The chamber on the whistlepig accepts all ammo I ever used. Cheap basic CCI Blazer up to Stingers. My buddy shot his with cheap @ss Remington Thunderbolt. Just load and go.

      You can shoot all ammo.

And the general rule, as I know for .22, is that every barrel and action will like (be most accurate) one particular ammo brand, and even lot, in particular, even if they were from the same maker.

Break it in? You mean just shoot it, right?

As far as ammo, it should all work, but you'll need to try a bunch to see what works best for you.

My whistle pig really likes CCI minimags and federal bulk.

I'd like to clarify my statement. It's understood the barrel will fire any .22lr round. What I meant was, it doesn't matter what brand, the WhistlePig shoots them all well.
              That's what I meant.
