    M&P 15-22 Modifications Question

I currently have a Smith & wesson M&P 15-22 in jail at my LGS. I want to modify it when I pick it up, but it has no bullet button. My question is am I limited to my modification choices like I am on a full AR15, or since this is rimfire am I good right now? I know the laws are trying to be changed, but under current law could I add say a fore grip, optics and such? Thanks

The 15-22 is good to go right out of the box. I put an inexpensive red dot on mine. It doesn't need anything else at all. Spend the money on ammo instead.

i switched up to a magpul pistol grip and butt stock better fit and feel - especially the rubber texture on the grip. My other up-grade was more mags and more ammo -> its GTG out of the box as others have said & since its a rim fire no BB needed - oh ya I also put a AFG on her and rail covers
        I mainly shoot .22lr, 9mm,45 acp, 357 & 38, 12G, 7.62x39, .308, .223/556, 7.62x54r, 300 win mag, 8x57
