sounds promising. i've been wanting a 10/22 Takedown. i'm hoping to pick one up in the next month, or so. i'm planning on picking up a few long guns before the beginning of 2014.

But yeah, I remember complaining about them when they were a touch over $200, so I bought a Marlin 795 instead (great accurate gun...except for some magazine jamming issues!)

I walked into sports authority last week, looking for 22lr ammo, and they had four 10/22 carbines and three takedowns, no luck on the ammo but I did jail a carbine for $259 and the take downs were going for $329.

Just bought a 10/22 at Bass Pro in Rancho Cucamonga yesterday. It's a dealer special edition, according to Ruger's website. Full length Mannlicher black laminated stock and matte stainless action/barrel. $349 + tax and DROS = $407 out-the-door (after the 11 day wait!). They have a few in stock.

What sports authority? Mine dont even sell guns or ammo??

In Fresno on Blackstone, the first time I walked in looking for socer stuff for my son and I was all smiles to see they had a ammo and guns. The clerk told me alot of people don't think we have this stuff and just don't think about us for there ammo and gun needs.
