Just jailed another one last night, if that tells you anything, along with a Crickett for my 2 y/o. This new Model 60 will be a LTR-setup.

        Marlin Model 60

Be sure to buy a "Speed D Loader" (sp??) to go with it...

I put a "Tech-sights" peep sight on mine and I love it !! I had problems with the "Tech-sights coming loose... I contacted the vendor and they FIXED the problem for me-EXCELLENT customer service.

I bought the Tech-sights peep sight for my 10/22 also, haven't tried them out yet on the Ruger...

Large(er) drinking straws (like Mcdonalds ones) with one end melted closed and a vacuum cap on the other end make good cheap speedloaders.

I have a 1959 Model 99 (the 60 precursor) that my dad bought new, fired a few times and put in the closet for 50 years. It even has the original Weaver 3 x 9 scope. I now put 100 rounds or more a week through it and I never get tired of it.

way better gun out of the box than a 10 22, just think of it as a 10 22 with a last shot hold open, grown up size stock, and green mountain barrel, along with
real sights for $150. The trigger is easily fixed with a pen spring mod.
